What is a contract of employment?
There is always a contract of employment between an employee and employer, even if you do not have anything in writing. This is because your agreement is to work for your employer and your employer agrees to pay you for that work and this forms the basis of the contract. The contract is legally binding and will have a set of implied terms as well as express terms if your contract is in writing.
