This week we take a peek at proposed EU Legislation which could affect the employment rights of the growing numbers of workers who fall within the ‘gig economy’.  The proposals will tighten existing laws covering the rights of this group whilst simultaneously tightening legal loopholes in employment status which have led to high profile cases brought in UK Employment Tribunals such as against Uber.(1)
