This week we look at two issues which employers will need to consider.  Today the government releases its consultation paper on sexual harassment in the workplace.  The scope of the paper will be wide indeed and will consider: extending time limits for applications of sexual harassment claims to the Employment Tribunal, strengthening the legal coverage of the Equality Act 2010 for ‘volunteers’ and ‘interns’ amongst others and increasing employer liability to address sexual har-assment issues even before formal complaints are received!(1)  We also bring to the attention of employers a recent Employment Appeal Tribunal decision which has implications for employer re-sponsibilities when an employee posts on social media ‘in the course of employment’.(2)
